On the evening of March 3rd, all the members of Sydney Chinese Lion Association and their guests were gathered at the ICC International Confederation Center, where the Club celebrated their 23rd Anniversary and fundraise in support of Australian Red Cross.
With over 600 guests, the funds raised will be very beneficial to Australian Red Cross in order to assist them in their life saving operations.
President Cheung Chun-ming delivered a speech and took the time to thank all the guests for their support to Sydney Chinese Lions Club and encouraged everyone to participate at the Red Cross’ fundraise.
“It is a great honor for me to see that in Sydney there is such a caring organization that contributes its own power to the charity obligation. This is the pride of our New South Wales” he said.
During the night, guests were delighted to enjoy wonderful show such as live dance and performances and try their luck at a lucky draw organized by HOME789.
Over the years, HOME789 has continuously supported the charities works carried out by The Lions Club of Sydney Chinese and upheld their ultimate goal: We serve! HOME789 CEO, Mr. Walton CHU stated that the company is rooted in society and giving back to the society is the responsibility of the company. “No matter how productive we are, HOME789 will always support charity together with the Lions Club.”
Sydney Chinese Lions Club was the first Chinese Lions club established by NSW to make a significant contribution to serve the community. It raised and donated over $ 800,000 to many charities and benefited charities including Royal Flying Doctor Medical Team, Flying Medical Team, St. John Ambulance, Australian Red Cross, The Sir David Martin Foundation, Fred Hollows Foundation, Lions Clubs International Fund, Westmead and Concord Hospital, Hart Walker Foundation for Disabled Children and so on.
